2. Promethean Boards Allow teachers and students show work and complete activities in front of the entire class. Students use a stylus pen and can write, and manipulate items on the board.
3. Document Camera/ Elmo This has taken the place of an overhead projector. The document camera is attached to the computer, projector, and promethean board. Its much easier to than the overhead projector. It requires paper and pencil instead of overhead laminated pages, a Vis-A- Vi pen, and water to erase any mistakes.
4. Activote egg These Activote eggs can be used in conjunction with the Promethean Board. Teachers can set up a quiz or group activity and the students answer questions using the egg.
5. Active Slate The Active Slate allows the teacher and student to write using a stylus and slate from anywhere in the classroom. The writing will appear on the promethean board.
6. I Pad The I Pad is a new tool being used in the classroom. It eliminates large bulky computers.
7. Usually used by special needs students, Alpha Smarts allow the students to type instead of write. They then use USB to send their document to the printer. ALPHA SMART
8. Lab Quest Can be used as a computer interface, a stand-alone device or in the field Built-in graphing and analysis software Vivid color touch screen Compatible with existing Vernier sensors
9. Starting young In order for our youth to actively engaged in education technology is a key. Students should start using technology as soon as possible!
10. Everyday! Students should be exposed to and use technology on a daily basis.
